Diane L. Martin to appear on Open to Hope Radio

New York, NY ( PressReleaseStudio ) August 7, 2010 – The suicide of Diane Martin’s young adult son began her journey through loss which included a search to again find a sense of understanding and meaning. She thus went back to graduate school to recapture a sense of self and identity. This pursuit and process have helped Diane to articulate and understand her experience. As a result of her grief and recovery journey she began work in field of bereavement in the hopes of sharing and supporting other parents who have lost children.

Dr. Richard Dew, to appear on the CBS affiliated Open to Hope National Radio Show

November 4th, 2009

New York, New York and San Francisco, California ( PressReleaseStudio ) Nov. 2nd 2009 -Dr. Richard Dew’s youngest son, Bradley, was murdered at the age of 21.  After two trials and nine parole hearings Richard is well acquainted with the problems families face including recognizing the difference between depression and normal grief.  As a physician in family practice Richard has found that many health care givers make the mistake of medicating normal grief.  Richard is the author of Rachel’s Cry, a book of poetry and Tunnel of Light, a novel dealing with the stresses on a marriage that often follows the death of a child.
