Chat now possible on iPhone through iPhone chat

August 16th, 2009

Chatting is one of the more common pastimes for the Internet freaks. Chatting through the Internet started way back with Yahoo and MSN. With time, more and more features were added to make chatting more interactive and real. These days, people chat while they see each other on their webcams and speak using the computer speakers and headsets, making the experience almost like a face to face chat. With the introduction of iPhone, the concept of a cell phone completely changed. With iPhone, we now also have something called iPhone chat that has taken chatting to a new dimension.

Chat as an application was first started way back in the 1980s. Chat in the 1980s was in the form of messages between online users. Gradually, the concept of instant messengers came in and the chatting became easier and funnier. With more innovations in chat technology, audio chat came into being and that was followed by video chat. In audio chat, users can speak with each other and in video chat, technology takes a step further and allows users to see each other while chatting. iPhone chat is the newest addition to the concept of chat using text chat.

One of the biggest advantages of iPhone chat is that it is flash based and much interactive. Somewhat like the 3G technology, iPhone chat allows users to communicate back and forth between each other in real time and using text. iPhone chat allows friends and families to keep in touch with each other while they are on the chat application. Since the cell phone is a mobile instrument, it can be carried on someone’s person all the time and people on either side can also have a look at the surroundings. There is only one catch to using this application. For iPhone chat to work, both the parties must have iPhone with them.

There are various chat applications that are compatible with iPhone chat. They are AOL Instant Messenger, BitchX, Fring, ICQ, IRCm, Irssi, iTalk, Siax, Siphon, Skype, VolPover3G, BeejiveIM, Heysan, Meebo, Mibbit and mundo Instant Messenger. All the iPhone user has to do is install any or more than one of these applications and start chatting.

If someone wants to use a computer or a laptop to use iPhone chat, there are various websites that allow chat in iPhone chat rooms. The user can visit one of the websites and register for iPhone chat. In fact, there are very few iPhone chat rooms available on the Internet because flash player is not available on iPhone. The plans for incorporating the flash player in iPhone is on but it will take some time to come into force.

In spite of the unavailability of flash player and the relatively low number of iPhone chat rooms available, the popularity of chat through iPhone is on the rise and a time will come very soon when iPhone users all over the world will use iPhone chat to connect to friends and families. Humans love newer technology and this newest one called iPhone chat is all set to brew up a storm.

Are you someone who likes to use online chat to keep in touch with family and friends? If you have an iPhone, then you can chat on the move using iPhone chat.
