Largest Royalty-Free Music Collection Just Released

May 15th, 2011

Reston, VA – May 12, 2011 – Well-known stock footage site, The Footage Firm, has just released another royalty free production music collection and it is their largest offering yet. Usually, they limit themselves to only 10 or 11 DVDs in a set, but this time there are 18 DVDs packed full of royalty-free music for video editors, web designers, busy musicians, etc. This is the Footage Firm’s third set of royalty-free production music. The previous two sets have proven to be very popular for the company, the first of which has already sold out.

The Footage Firm has their website set up so you can preview the clips. A medley has been created from the songs on each disk as an overview, but you can also listen to each song individually. In fact, each song comes with multiple tracks for your convenience. There are full length songs, alternate and shortened versions, as well as transitions and loops — just perfect for dragging and dropping into your video timeline or you can mix and match them, or even mix with your own music. Since they are in three different formats, WAV, MP3 and AIFF, they are compatible with all NLE’s on all platforms, including PC, Mac, and Linux.

Additionally, in order to promote the royalty free stock music side of their business, they are only giving away 500 copies of this tune-filled set for the price of shipping and handling. But just because they are free, well, that does not mean they are cheap. No way! These are industry standard broadcast quality, 16 bit/44.1kHz (1,411.2 kbit/s) music for commercial use and for feature films. So if you are producing for TV, or want to present a professional sound to your internet videos, this is a great set to get your hands on at this specially discounted price.

The best part is that this music comes with a 100% royalty free license that allows you to use it in all types of productions, in unlimited quantities, for worldwide distribution, forever. There are no additional licensing fees.

Canadian Music Week About to be Rocked by UK Band The Lost Souls Club

March 9th, 2011

UK indie-rock band, The Lost Souls Club, fresh from a tour of Vietnam and Cambodia are coming to play one exclusive gig at the Canadian Music Week. Having played 3 continents in the last 6 months, what is unique about these guys is they’ve done it all without the backing of a record label.

London, 9th March 2011

UK indie-rock band, The Lost Souls Club, fresh from a tour of Vietnam and Cambodia are coming to play one exclusive gig at the Canadian Music Week. Having played 3 continents in the last 6 months, what is unique about these guys is they’ve done it all without the backing of a record label.

The mastermind behind this remarkable feat is Mark Smith who manages the band. “The UK market is saturated with music artists of all genres, and this means that a lot of incredible talent goes unnoticed” says Smith. “Because of this, I decided to explore other countries as viable platforms to launch the band”. As often happens, a chance meeting led to The Lost Souls Club being offered spots at the Beijing Inner City Festival in China and One Movement Festival in Australia (where they won Sonicbids’ Best New International Act Award). They blew the audiences away, and offers for more gigs and tours soon came flooding in, culminating in a tour of Vietnam and Cambodia earlier this year. They are only the 5th western band to have ever played in Cambodia.

And what about The Lost Souls Club themselves? Their unique blend of hard rock and psychedelia creates a unique and totally mesmerizing experience. Kerrang Magazine says of the band “Their dark, pulsing rock swirls with a sinister malice that sets the tone perfectly…” But don’t be fooled by the dark, brooding looks of this dynamic 4 piece. At the heart of everything they do is an incredible attention to song craft, melody and hooks. This coupled with their powerful and physical stage performance guarantees you will remember seeing them for a long time to come.

The Lost Souls Club fly into Toronto to play a one off exclusive gig at Cherry Cola’s Rock N’ Rolla Cabaret, Bathurst Street as part of the prestigious Canadian Music Week on 12 March 2011. Come along and see the act that has set the far east alight.

For more information about the Lost Souls Club and their visit to Toronto please contact Mark Smith at [email protected] call him on +44 787 021 8707 or visit the bands fan page www.facebook.com/thelostsoulsclub

Relaxation Music Scores a Hit by Slowing Down Heart Rate and Helping People Unwind

July 10th, 2010

Two albums of relaxation music scored by Australian Matthew Harding and Rick Plumridge have achieved bestseller status, after suitable proving that their music can cause a relaxation of the human heart rate.

Relaxation music therapy reached a new high this year when two successive relaxation music albums became online hits. These albums are titled River to the Sea and Sea to Sky. Composers Matthew Harding and his partner Rick Plumridge have proved that their music can cause a slowdown of the human cardiac rate.

Science has proved that there is a significant increase in heart rate when a person is stressed. There are other symptoms as well such as heavy breathing, perspiration, a feeling of clammy coldness, etc., which can differ from one person to another. However, these are secondary symptoms that are caused by the palpitation. Since the 50s, music therapy has been considered to be a cure for stress because it can reduce the heart rate and bring it down closer to the normal range.

In particular, the music of these two albums has been found during collective researches to bring down the heart rate in the vicinity of 72 beats per minute, which is the standard human heart rate when it is at rest. Experts state how this heart rate indicates that the person is in a state of ‘wakeful sleep’, which is the most relaxed state a person can be in while they are awake.

The people who were studied with this relaxation music were able to think in clearer terms and felt generally cheerful when the hour-long session was completed. There was a general increase in energy and their muscle tension was found to be reduced as well. In some cases, prolonged benefits were also indicated such as an improvement of the blood pressure, treatment of insomnia and reduction of migraine conditions.

Matthew Harding and Rick Plumridge have gone to nature in order to compose their songs. They have explored a lot of the Australian wilderness to capture nature sounds, most notably the sounds of the animals and birds, and fit them into their tracks. There are 8 music tracks in each of the albums which are available on the website http://www.relaxationmusicaustralia.com/.

Following the validation of this relaxation nature music, these bestselling albums have been included on the in-flight entertainment programs of Qantas Airways and Malaysian Airlines. Various TV programs such as Gardening Australia, Get Away and Burke’s Backyard have run segments about the albums. The albums are also sold through Australian Geographic stores and through the Leprosy Mission Australia while the State Government of Victoria’s Department of Primary Industries has distributed copies of the album to their staff during their Stress Relief in the Workplace campaign.
